Preferred Qualifications:
- Successful experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in a school setting
- Skilled in providing interpretive services for students with Deaf/Hard of Hearing needs
- Valid DPI #884 Educational Interpreter License required
- Comfortable working in a one-on-one middle school environment
- Ability to adapt communication styles based on a student’s individual needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-class and school-related interpreting services for a middle school student
- Foster student engagement and participation through clear, accurate communication
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support the student’s IEP requirements
- Facilitate effective understanding between the student, peers, and school personnel
